Dr.
Jeff Bowra graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1994. He is married to Toni and they have 3 daughters Chloe, Riley and Olivia and one son Brody. They share their home with Rain the greyhound, Bunny the pug and Loosefur, Mouse and Moonlight the cats.
He took over the Aldergrove Animal Hospital in 1997 which is dedicated to family pet care. He has a special interest in canine sports and rehabilitation medicine with a focus on coursing and racing sight hounds. He is proud to have the first veterinary hospital in Canada to have an underwater treadmill and therapy pool.
He is a member of the American Canine Sports Medicine Association. He targets his continuing education towards sports medicine and rehabilitation and networks with experts in these fields all over the world. He is certified through the University of Tennessee as a Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner.
Dr. Natasa Milojkovic graduated from the University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia in 1980. She has been working in the Lower Mainland and Whistler area since 1992 and we were thrilled to have her join our team in 2005. She brings a new meaning to compassion and caring for animals, as well as high standards in practicing top quality, progressive medicine. Her career interests include feline medicine, geriatric pets and dermatology.
She shares her home with her husband Hal on Harrison Lake in beautiful Harrison Hot Springs, so they can enjoy a spectacular view everyday. They share their home with their very special kitty, Chiquita.

Carolyn
Beard has worked at the Aldergrove Animal Hospital for over 15 years. With her wonderful British accent, people call just to talk to her. She loves the animals, is invaluable in dealing with people and keeps the front desk in top form.
Her husband Peter is a semi-retired dairy farmer who in his spare time looks after the Burmese kittens and Labrador retriever puppies that Carolyn breeds. They presently have two Labradors, Bretta a senior and Fern a puppy, four Burmese cats and one Bombay.

Belinda
Bouchot joined us in the spring of 2000 upon graduation of the Veterinary Assistant program. Her cheerful demeanor and love of animals makes people feel right at home when they come through the front door. Responsible for our weight management and nutrition programs, Belinda assists our clients with their pets’ dietary needs to achieve a healthier, happier pet. Her love of animals has extended into small animal rescue whenever time & space permits in her home she shares with husband Eric, son Lucas & their menagerie of cats, dogs & fish.

Technicians
Brenda
Burgess has been our head technician since the spring of 2001. She has a wonderful way with animals and people, and has gained much experience working in this field for over 17 years.
She has special interests in dentistry and geriatric pets, and she enjoys spending her free time with her fiancé James, 2 whippets, two cats and her 2 standard bred horses.
Kazuko Kobayashi joined our team as a Registered Animal Health Technician in the summer of 2005 after graduating from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops.
With an expanding knowledge in Radiology and a special interest in Rehabilitation, her technical skills and passion for Veterinary medicine make her a true asset to our growing hospital.
A natural communicator, Kazuko is often called upon to assist our clients with their questions & concerns regarding their pet's Veterinary care.
She and her fiance Robert welcomed the birth of their son Jacob in the fall of 2006. Jacob has the day shift with the family and their cats Sophie and Floyd have the night shift.
Lisi Jesson is our most recent team member, starting in October 2006. She has been a Veterinarian in Brazil for 13 years and moved to Canada in September of 2004 to marry her husband, Karl. She is enrolled in certification courses in canine rehabilitation therapy, to improve her knowledge and experience in canine sports medicine.
In her spare time she likes to cook and paint and hang out with her husband and adopted cat Sweetie Phantom, the most loving cat they have ever met.

Veterinary Assistant / Swim Therapist
Tiffany
Ferguson started with us as a teenaged, kennel attendant and has worked her way up to being our primary swim therapist in the SPAW. She has attended rehabilitation courses in Florida and is currently enrolled in a 3 year Veterinary Technician Program that allows her to balance part time school and full time work. Her involvement in organizing a canine 4H club and dog training have helped to make her an excellent animal handler and swim therapist. She has 2 Rottweiler (Brooklyn and Chief), 2 Moluccan Cockatoos (Mateo and Serenity), 2 Cockatiels (Popeye and Sinbad), 4 cats (Anna, Belle, Cyrus and Marbles) and an 80-gallon fish tank (some of her fish even have names…).
Kennel Attendants
Cherie Clifford joined Aldergrove Animal Hospital in September 2004 as a kennel attendant. Today she makes sure all our guests get cleaned, fed and the appropriate love and play time. She also helps to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hospital.
She shares her home with 8 rescue cats, aging from 2 to 16 years of age. She also has 1 dog, mainly called “Good Girl”, 2 tarantulas, “Rose” and “Strawberry”, 1 chameleon, “Hydro” and 1 leopard gecko named “Spike”.

Honourary Lifetime Staff Member
Nerene Stone immigrated to Canada from South Africa with husband Bruce, daughter Whitney and son Warwick in 1996. She joined us in 1997 and has been a very valuable staff member and friend. Bruce passed away suddenly in late 1999 so Nerene and children had no choice but to return to South Africa. We will miss them dearly and she will always be one of us.
